Pure London: 4th – 6th August 2013

This week, etailPR have been at the Pure tradeshow – hosted at Olympia, London. For the first time, etailPR took part in the show as an exhibitor, rather than visitors, having a stand near the National Hall Stage.

The stand enabled many brands and retailers to easily discover etailPR and chat about prospective websites and online marketing campaigns. As well as connecting with new brands, etailPR were also very pleased to catch up with some of our existing brands on site. It was great to see their stands and beautiful upcoming collections – we’re very excited about what’s in store!

We caught a glimpse of a couple of our brand’s next season collections in the young fashion catwalk on The National Hall Stage. There were some gorgeous gowns and dresses from Forever Unique and Chi Chi, as pictured below.

Forever Unique were also very popular throughout the show for their amazing ice cream and bubbly! etailPR director, Barney, described it as ‘the best ice cream i’ve ever tasted’. We think it was the Vimto sauce and sweets that won him over!

etailPR were also asked to run seminars throughout the show. Senior Affiliate Marketing manager, Kate Gurney, ran the ‘Retail in the digital age: interacting with customers through social media’ seminar, hosting and answering questions all things social media! Later in the show, etailPR’s Digital PR executive Emily Jones ran a seminar focusing on ‘the benefits of bloggers for brands and retailers’ alongside blogger, Kim Parslow, from Sweet Monday and Kate.

The seminars were very well received by the audience, many of whom approached the etailPR stand after the talks to hear more and find out some extra information about the company. We will be sharing the information provided in the seminars in blog posts over the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled!

Overall, the show was a really successful few days for etailPR, we hope it was for our brands too!

Marketing collaborations – doing more, with less.

The growth of social media and constant developments in technology have forced brands and marketers to adapt to ensure they’re engaging with consumers in the most up to date methods. Along with the continuing, uncertain economic climate and budgets stretched, brands need to do more with less, to survive.

Some brands are still guilty of blindly bombarding consumers with advertising and their brand message in an attempt to gain new customers without carefully considering and targeting their marketing efforts. However savvy brands are discovering and utilizing the latest ways to target consumers, with the right demographic, on a budget and effectively turning them into customers.

Marketing collaborations are a fantastic way for both established brands to introduce themselves to a new and relevant audience and also for start up brands to get a foot on the ladder by working with others non competing brands. There will be brands out there that already have a huge number of the customers and loyal fans that you will want to reach and in turn it’s likely they’ll want to speak to yours too. Marketing collaborations simply help you reach new customers whether you have a marketing budget or not.

Of course ensuring that you get the same benefits out of the project as the brand you’re working with is essential to ensure you’re not losing out. The scope for collaborative projects is huge. All it takes are two like- minded and experimental brands. The only limit to a project is how far your collaborative partner is willing to go. The sooner every brand understands the benefits, the more everyone will gain.
